Science club in our school has been actively undertaking various projects and extending support comprehensively to the causes of science under the aegis of Physics, Chemistry and Biology Department right from the beginning of the school. It has brought in many State Awards and other laurals. Being the Silver Jubilee year we have more credentials to put forward for all to peruse. Given below is the list of Science Awards we won in this year alone.

  • Kongu Engineering College, Perundurai conducted district level Kongu Trophy open House Exhibition on 21st, 22nd and 23rd August 2015. Our students G.Jaison Raj and T.M.Prakash of XI std participated in it and won the district level 1st prize.
  • Department of School Education conducted South Indian Science Drama festival on 22.08.2015 at Jaivabai Municipal Girls Hr.Sec.School, Tirupur. Eight students from VII to IX std participated in it and won the district level first prize. The same drama was selected to the State Level held at Sri Saradha Vidyalaya Hr.Sec. School,Salem on 24.08.2015. We proudly inform that we have been selected to the state level participation since three years continuously.
  • Department of Science and Technology conducted Inspire Award competition on 16.07.2015 at Angel Engineering College, Tirupur, and our student R.Ashwin of X std presented the project based on “Physico Chemical Effects of Alcoholism and was selected to the state level competition held at Mahendra Engineering College, Namakkal on 4th, 5th and 6th September 2015.
  • Department of school Education conducted state level Science Exhibition. In the district level, our students S.Kirubhasini of VIII std and P.Sankar Prasad of VII std participated at Ramakrishna Vidyalaya Matric. Hr. Sec.School, Ammapalayam and won district level first prize. The same exhibition was selected to the state level held at Govt. Boys Hr.Sec.School, Perambalur on 1st, 2nd and 3rd December 2015 and was selected to the South Indian level to be held at Bangalore.
  • Department of School education conducted science exhibition to commemorate the birthday of Former President Dr.A.P.J.Abdul Kalam on October 15th at Jaivabai Municipal girls Hr.Sec.School, Tirupur. Two students M.Ganesh Abi and L.Pavunraj of IX std participated and won the district level second prize.
  • National Children’s Science Congress 2015 conducted Science project submission at Angel Engineering College, Tirupur on 18.11.2015. Four projects were submitted. One project titled “The Meteorological Conditions on Soil Fertility” was selected to the state level competition held at Muthayammal Engineering college, Rasipuram on 27th to 29th November 2015.
  • We are proud to say that for the past 12 years we have been getting “The Children’s Science Academy Award” from the Science City, Chennai, and have been attending 5 days Science Camps conducted by Science City year by year. This year also we have submitted four science Projects as part of our active involvement .
  • EQIP Foundation conducted one day Physics camp for +2 students in our school on 24.11.2015. Dr.Elango the chairman EQIP & Former Vice Chancellor, Bharathiar University interacted with every year the students on the occasion. The efforts of our science club coupled with the various prizes they win really encourage and stimulate scientific fervour among our students. Great are the achievements they have won, yet many prosperous Awards await them in the future.
